Carpet Binding

What is carpet binding?

Carpet binding is the essential finishing process of applying a high-quality fabric, vinyl or serged yarn to the raw edges of a carpet remnant. This specialized technique prevents the backing from unraveling and the fibers from fraying, ensuring your custom-cut piece remains durable and intact. By securing the perimeter, binding allows you to transform any carpet material into a functional area rug or a perfectly fitted stair runner that meets your exact dimensions while standing up to heavy foot traffic.

Why choose Vic's Carpet & Flooring?

Vic Raasch started the company in 1967 when he opened his first flooring showroom in a small building in downtown Oconomowoc. Vic had spent a number of years installing flooring with his two older brothers before he decided to open up his own business and control his own destiny. As the business continued to grow over the years, so did the product offerings and the size of the showroom. Kevin Raasch (Vic's son) officially joined the family business in 2001 after graduating college. Vic's Carpet & Flooring has been in its current location since 2006 and has a 7,000 sq. ft. showroom and 5,000 sq. ft. warehouse.
